No, I haven't, but I will take it into consideration.

A better way to approach the problem is to develop a good local-rules
signature so that the identification is done in the lightweight
procmail engine, and the perl script is bypassed entirely.

You might want to try adding the rule that was just posted, it sounds
like it'll reduce your load by 80% or better.
