Well, you need to invoke a local mail delivery agent anyway
(at least for mail you're not relaying) to deliver the mail
to a user's box. It's just a matter of which one.

There's also another problem with Milter filters: licensing. Right
now, the library that's required to make them (libmilter, found
in the Sendmail source package) is licensed under the "Sendmail
license," which forbids commercial application.
