"Why are you carrying a gun?"

(ticks off fingers)

- Because I am a responsible adult, and I have made the considered decision to
  take responsibility for my own self-defense and the protection of my family,
  rather than relying on someone else to do it for me.

- Because ultimately the only person responsible for protecting you is you
  yourself; expecting someone else to take responsibility for your safety
  means that you are not an adult, but a child.

- Because I have a moral and Constitutional Right to do so.

- Because my Rights are not conditional upon the tender feelings, irrational
  phobias or prejudices of other people.

- Because a Right not exercised is a Right lost.

- Because if I don't exercise that Right then some busybody politician in the
  state legislature may decide that it's not a Right after all, but a
  privilege.

- Because if the public sees responsible citizens carrying peacefully, they
  will learn that it is not something to fear.
