Heck, SCOTUS handed down a nice slap to an overreaching prosecutor, too. A guy was convicted of "using" a gun in a transaction involving him trying to buy the gun for drugs; this got him an extra 5 years. 'Justice Souter bluntly wrote, "The government's position that Watson 'used' the pistol ... by receiving it for narcotics lacks authority in either precedent or regular English."'
