Excellent. Being someone who did medieval reenactment for decades, it reminds me that for a long time, it was illegal in medieval England for a peasant to have a staff. Yes, a simple length of tree branch.
Why? Because the nobles got tired of hearing how Sir_________ or Lord_________, with his impressive military record and valor in the field against trained soldiers, was knocked off his horse and had his breastplate (or his helmet) caved in by a peasant with a big stick and an attitude problem.

Ever wonder where the term "to stave something in", as in a barrel or a boat hull, comes from?

So, even though states that go to less stringent firearms regulation enjoy lower crime rates, and states that inact more stringent regulations suffer increased crime rates, the answer is still more gun control?
Well, either crime is an excuse for gun control, or this person is clinically insane (expecting a different result from the same action). I am interested in seeing which it is.

Twell, I don't think the 2 are mutually exclusive.

grats to you for contacting her. It's the right thing to do, and it encourages lazy bums such as myself to not slack off. Not only your eloquence and depth of information, but also your persistence, have motivated me to tactfully confront gun-grabbers that I encounter.

It's interesting that the overwhelming response to pieces like hers are voices like ours.

The militant gun-controllers seem now to be limited to media mouthpieces and astroturf activists employed (at a distance) by the Joyce Foundation and its ilk.

And, just for the record, she hasn't responded to my email.
