I'm still trying to work out how I'm gonna swing this...money is VERY tight right now but I REALLY want to be there.

I think I'm probably going to be in a tent at the local KOA rather than in a hotel.

So if you're up for a little mid-May "DAMN it's cold" camping, I'm sure I could spare a corner of the campsite for you.

When is one of the triumvirate of gun happenings going to go down near Seattle? The Gun-Blogger Rendezvous, the NRA meeting thing, and Shot Show. Please come to the Northwest some day! Pleas!

Gun Blogger Rendezvous is probably going to stay in Reno. If there is something coincident with the NRA annual meeting then it will move around the country. The NRA had their meeting in Seattle in '97, '98, something like that. So maybe it won't be too long before they show up again.

We're at the $99/night Executive Inn. It's right across the street from the one you likely got. (Was that one not showing up as an option? If not, email me the dates you plugged in. I actually discovered an error in their database for that particular hotel with certain dates yesterday and called them on it.)

It gives us the option to walk to the expo center and doesn't force us to rely on renting a car or catching the shuttle NRA will likely have. It also saves a few bucks a night.

There was also discussion at some point on room sharing to split costs. If there's still interest in that, I can start a post and un-moderate comments so people can make their arrangements.

Please do.

If someone can engineer a room sharing agreement that can get me in for, say $45 a night or less, I'm all over it...otherwise, you'll be able to find me at the KOA.

Oops, I meant to quote the whole paragraph:

Ask, and ye shall receive.

Post is here.

I think it addresses the problems Kevin was having, the roommate situation, and other questions I've had. If not, feel free to email/comment with more.

I've been through this several times before, so if I don't know offhand, I know who to go to in order to get a solution or answer.

I'm trying to figure all this out myself. I live a bit over an hour away, though, so commuting is a possibility; but I'm still thinking I'm gonna end up having to sleep in L'ville after a long day.
