I hate to say it, but I'm afraid they may have hit the point of no return over there; there comes a point in a culture when it is almost impossible to reverse a downward spiral, and I think they have gotten to that point.
Just my opinion.

A friend of mine just got back from a several-week stay in London. He said they are nuts over there, absolutely paranoid. There are cameras everywhere, even ones with which someone on the other end can speak to you if s/he doesn't like what you're doing. It's bizarro-land.

Kevin,

Have you kept up any correspondence with Tim Lambert? I wonder if he's still defending his "fewer guns = fewer crimes" position.

No, Tim and I haven't corresponded since our last "Do!" "Don't!" "DO!" "DON'T!" exchange.

but...but..this cannot be! Guns are banned in England! Everything there is all sweetness and light, with gentle unicorns shooting nothing but rainbows from their arses!

Banning firearms doesn't change the desire to harm another for gain.

I don't want anyone to take this the wrong way, but I'd like to see Britain's crime data as it pertains to race.
